Just Found Out!

My doctor just told me I have VDDS or Vitamin D Deficiency Syndrome. This condition is responsible for attributing to chronic pain and cognitive disorders such as memory loss and lapses in focus while performing demanding tasks. Also, anxiety and depression are directly linked to VDDS. Fortunately, the remedy is more vitamin D which I am now getting in massive doses once a week. Wow, who would have thought it?

And the beauty just keeps improving!

Finally we're getting a break from the seemingly interminable winter! This weekend and all of next week will be much, much milder! High's in the sixties every single day and Tuesday almost up to seventy! I can hardly wait. It seems this has been the longest, coldest and most bitter winter that I can remember!

Good weekend for golf and photography.

Wow! What a headache!

Ever had one of those persistent, pounding headaches? I usually don't get them, but have one today. What a bummer.

Illinois

I remember one day when I was shooting in central Illinois that I drove out into the middle of nowhere. I was surrounded on all sides by what seemed to be endless fields of wheat. I stopped my car on the narrow gravel road and got out to make some shots. The wind coming off the plains was like a blast furnace and the temperatures were in the nineties. That was one of those moments you never forget, surrounded by vast emptiness, hot wind bowing and an endless blue sky. I though it was a great place . . . until I went back in the winter and experienced the same wind in twenty degree weather with two feet of snow on the ground. Sometimes I think our winters are rough, but I do know there are other places, noot too far from here that have it much harder than we do!

I can't believe this

It is snowing again! Global Warming is a crock but I wish it weren't! I could sure use a bit of it right now because it is cold outside and winter just keeps on and on and on and . . . well you get the picture. If I thought snow was beautiful I would be out making shots but since I don't my gear will stay in the bags for another day. Doggone it!

Welcome back, March!

Well it is here: the month in which Spring will arrive! I am ready too! Counting down the days now - less than four weeks! Even got my tractor started today and drove it around some to get all the bearings, gears, hydraulics, etc. loosened up. It won't be long now until I will be able to smell fresh cut grass!

The warm up is coming!

I listen to the forecasters and they predict a warming trend by the end of next week. Well, it is about time! Spring is almost upon us and winter has been far too long in releasing its grip on the southland. I am looking forward to letting the sun shine on my face and feel its warmth. Beyond that, I also can hardly wait to get back out there shooting some great fine art shots to keep up with my personal goal of adding three new prints to my gallery per month! I am falling behind and need to start catching up.
