Of all the places that I have been blessed to visit, Isle of Palms, SC has to be among my favorites. Normally, I am not a big fan of the Atlantic coast. I usually see it as rougher and colder than the gulf or west coasts. But the waters off SC seem so inviting every time I have been there (not during a hurricane, yet).
Among the attractions of this island, is that it is less than ten miles from dowtown Charleston which, in my opinion, is the most interesting city I have ever visited and I have visited bunches of them!
Most importantly, I think, is that Isle of Palms gives you a place to unwind but still be within easy reach of all the amenities a city like Charleston has to offer. If you ever get a chance, by all means go!
